Prime Wood started as a handcrafted wooden furniture producer in 1930. Prime began pressing wood for early skateboard brands like Madrid and (Z Boys) in 1968,By 1988, Steve Rocco and Rodney Mullen felt the industry shifting, and left Sims and Powell respectively to start World Industries and worked with the Prime factory to perfect production of modern skateboard sand  making skateboards for World, Blind, Plan B, 101, Shorty’s, Birdhouse, Flip, Hookups, Baker, and the Firm and lots more.
